Donovan Bitticks, a senior at Scottsdale Horizon High in Arizona, won the boys sweepstakes race by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 15:10.3 at the Desert Twilight Festival at Toka Sticks Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. Bitticks improved from placing 44th in last year's sweepstakes race in 16:13.6 at Coyote Run Golf Course at Leisure World.
