Niwot High of Colorado secured a third consecutive girls sweepstakes victory and fourth in five seasons at the Desert Twilight Festival at Toka Sticks Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. The Cougars swept the top five places to produce a perfect 15-point performance, led by Addison Ritzenhein winning in 16:44.9. Mia Prok was second in 17:31.8, Avalon Beltran took third in 17:38.1, Olivia Alessandrini finished fourth in 17:50.8 and Cayden Justice secured fifth in 17:54.2 for Niwot, which eclipsed the previous record for lowest girls sweepstakes team score of 25 points set in 2011 by Xavier College Prep from Arizona at Toka Sticks. Sarah Perkins (18:24.6) and Alena Kasanicky (18:28.6) were 14th and 15th, with Kendall Madine earning 23rd in 18:51.2 for the Cougars, who became the only program in meet history to win at four different venues, including Grande Sports Complex in Casa Grande in 2019, The Links Golf Course in Queen Creek in 2021 and Coyote Run Golf Course at Leisure World last season.
